Professional Career Overview

A brief snapshot:  I started my professional career with Nortel Networks in 1988 and during my employment I held a variety of marketing manager roles that included the North American introduction of ISDN BRI/PRI, Frame Relay, and wideband services. In 1996 I joined Ascend Communications, Inc. as a Southeast Sales Manager, then promoted as a National Account Manager to handle IBM, BellSouth, and Intermedia(now MCI).  After the Lucent Technologies acquisition(June 1999) I became Director of Data Products for the Sprint account team.

In March 2000 I joined a privately held IP Services company(Spring Tide Networks) to build the southeast sales efforts.  The market focus for this product was an advanced switching platform to deliver IP Routing, VPN, and Firewall capabilities collapsed into Layer 2 transport technologies.  Spring Tide was acquired by Lucent in the fall of 2000.  After the acquisition I became an IP Sales Director supporting major accounts(BellSouth, Cingular, Sprint), channels, and the southeast territory.

In early 2004 I was hired at Network Associates(now McAfee, Inc.) as a Strategic Sales Manager to focus on major enterprise accounts to sell all security products in the McAfee portfolio.  The mix of a strong data networking background in conjunction with excellent working knowledge of security systems provides a competitive edge in the emerging host and network based intrusion prevention market.

In January of 2005 I accepted the position as Director of Sales and Business Development for Mobile Security to help build and lead McAfee's efforts in this new and emerging market.  Direct sales to the mobile operators, device manufacturers, OEM's, and partners.
